Our Story
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
my name is Umm Zubayr.
i'm a mother. a teacher. and someone who spent years watching parents struggle — not because they didn't care, but because nobody gave them the right tools.
i have a degree in psychology and neuroscience with a focus on child development. i've memorized the Qur'ān in the narration of Hafs. i've studied under ZAD Academy. and i've spent over 10 years teaching children — from Islamic schools to public schools to private homes.
what i kept seeing was the same thing everywhere:
parents who deeply loved their children but had no framework grounded in the Qur'ān and Sunnah to guide them.
parents yelling because they didn't know what else to do. children acting out because they didn't feel safe. homes full of love but missing direction.
that's why i built oh my dear child.
not as a business. as a response to the hundreds of messages and calls i received from parents asking: "where do i even start?"
roots to righteousness is that answer. practical. grounded in deen. written for the parent in the middle of a hard day — not the scholar in a classroom.
whether you're Muslim or not, the principles here are rooted in something timeless: raising children who know who they are, who they belong to, and how to treat the world around them.
جزاكم الله خيراً for your trust and support.
